Namiri Plains Camp
Location
Serengeti, Tanzania
Namiri Plains Camp provides an exceptional experience of seclusion within the Tanzanian wilderness. Nestled along a bend in the Ngare Nanyuki underground river and surrounded by open plains dotted with acacias and dramatic rocky outcrops, the camp is small and isolated. Just eight tents are located approximately 50 feet apart from one another, offering the ultimate in private accommodations. Each has en suite facilities with flush toilets. The camp is run on solar- and generator-powered electricity and has battery-charging facilities for guests. Laundry service is also available.
Enjoying a superb location from which to watch the annual wildebeest migration, Namiri Plains also enjoys some of the best big cat viewing in Africa. These felines thrive here where great herds of game also flourish, nurtured by the Ngare Nanyuki underground river that creates pockets of permanent water that support year-round wildlife. Such close encounters with the Serengeti’s apex predators are sure to enthrall even the most seasoned safari traveler!
