Aria Amazon
Launched in 2011, the Aria Amazon is one of the newest luxury cruise vessels on the northern Amazon River in Peru. The 147-foot ship provides an exceptionally comfortable way to explore one of the world's most remote and pristine tropical wilderness areas. Custom-designed by top Peruvian architect and interior designer Jordi Puig, the Aria accommodates a maximum of 32 guests in 16 air-conditioned, oversized suites that are approximately 250 square feet each. Each cabin has an en suite bathroom with 24-hour hot water shower, sitting area and floor-to-ceiling picture windows offering panoramic views of the river and its banks—it's as if you are traveling in a mobile luxury jungle lodge. Four of the suites can be interconnected, to cater to families. Suites are furnished with a California king bed or two singles, dressed in high-thread-count Peruvian linens.
The Aria is the perfect size for an intimate adventure on the upper Amazon, yet large enough to offer a slate of deluxe amenities including a stylish air-conditioned lounge and bar, shaded outdoor lounge on the teak observation deck, outdoor jacuzzi, exercise room with full-length glass windows to watch the passing scenery as you work out, and a small onboard shopping boutique. In the spacious dining room, enjoy elegant dinners created by one of Lima's top chefs, which draw from Peruvian and European influences and are served on fine china and crystal. Some of South America's finest wines are included with your meals.
