While trekking in the Loita Hills we camp in roomy, walk-in nylon dome tents furnished with comfortable cots with full bedding. One long-drop toilet is shared between two tents (effectively two toilets total). Two 20-liter bucket showers are provided, filled with hot water upon request for enjoying a shower at the end of the day. There is no power in the camp, which means there is no facility for charging camera batteries—guests should bring extras, plus plenty of memory cards, etc., for the 4-day duration of the hike. The camp is packed up and moved to a new site daily by the crew; guests do not need to assist with erecting or taking down the camp.
Together, Natural Habitat Adventures and World Wildlife Fund have teamed up to arrange nearly 100 nature travel experiences around the planet, while helping to protect the magnificent places we visit and their wild inhabitants.
