Laragai House
Location
Lewa and Borana Wildlife Conservancies, Kenya
Set at the edge of a plateau on the Borana Ranch Conservancy, which just reintroduced black and white rhino and features Grevy’s zebra, as well as giraffe, lion, and cheetah, Laragai House is the epitome of exclusivity. Guests can explore the vast wilderness through game drives, guided nature walks, horseback and bicycle rides. Afterwards, cool off in the pool and gather around the grand fireplaces to reminisce of the day’s adventures.
This private bush home evokes the warmth of a remote log cabin ranch with natural elements consisting of local stone and wood. A pallet of deep reds, browns, and other earth tones enhance a romantic and cozy feeling, while the large windows throughout the house bring the brightness and freshness from the outdoors inside. A total of twelve adults and four children can be accommodated within the eight individually decorated bedrooms. Full service staff are gracious hosts and never diminish the intimacy. Utilize the gym, or nestle up with a book in the parlor while you await a scrumptious meal served in the formal dining room, or under the stars in the outdoor dining area.
