Cristalino Jungle Lodge
Location
Amazon Basin, Brazil
Accommodations at Cristalino Jungle Lodge were designed and built to promote close contact between visitors and their natural surroundings, while keeping comfort paramount. Our Superior Rooms are spacious—484 square feet—with two comfortable beds, reading table, ceiling fan, large screened windows and natural ventilation. Each room has a private modern bath facility with separate wash basin, toilet and glassed-in hot-water shower with a view to the private outdoor cold shower. In the entryway there is a small veranda with a hammock. Sustainable practices are evident throughout, in the solar heating, gray-water treatment system, black-water treatment system and in the roof design with air-escapes to maintain a cooler temperature. The lodge has a friendly restaurant with bar, which serves delicious regional dishes including the famous caipirinha. Candlelight dining on the thatched-roof patio is also available. A common lounge is used for presentations and meetings, with a small but carefully selected library. A floating deck above the river is a great spot for swimming and relaxing during free time. Canoes & inflatable boats are always available. There is also a rustic screened tree house in the forest, used for spotting tapirs and peccaries.
