Erin Hailstones Mihm
As a young adult, she volunteered at a wildlife rehabilitation center while working at Seattle's famed Woodland Park Zoo. These collective experiences drove her towards earning a Bachelor's in Parks & Recreation Management. In subsequent years, she worked at several National Park sites on Endangered Species projects and natural resource teams, along with several Endangered bird and riparian habitat studies in California and back home in the Texas Hill Country.
Forever an advocate for animals and protecting cultures and wildlife, she later went on to obtain a Master's in Sustainable Tourism Management from Colorado State University. She is a naturalist at heart and inspired by authentic people and travel that benefits local communities. She enjoys rubbing elbows with the wonderfully eclectic bunch of smarty-pants at Nat Hab. She is grateful to be a part of a group of individuals working together to make tiny changes to Earth. (that is a music reference for which she has many).
She's called 7 states home but still has a sweet spot for Maine. Once she is lucky enough to visit Hawaii she'll be able to say she's been to all 50 states. Summer 2023 she hit her 49th in the 49th state while visiting Nat Hab's Bear Camp. She has also witnessed the spiritual magic of the Monarch migration and Nat Hab's signature Polar Bear Adventure in Churchill, Manitoba.
