Leopards are the world's most widespread big cat, with subspecies living across sub-Saharan Africa, northeast Africa, Central Asia, China and India. These highly adaptable felines thrive in wild habitats ranging from savannas to jungles to temperate forests to alpine heights, but they can survive almost anywhere, even in areas with dense human populations. This webinar delves into the fascinating life of leopards, with a particular focus on the Indian subspecies. Expedition Leader Aditya Panda will cover leopards’ intriguing natural history and their amazing ability to live in diverse environments, including rain forests, mountains and everything in between, even cities. Aditya will share insights from his more than 15 years as a naturalist specializing in big cats, including proven strategies for tracking and spotting elusive leopards in the wild. You will come away with an enhanced understanding of this versatile carnivore, and new ideas for supporting leopard conservation efforts in India and beyond.
