Let's Go: A Summer Safari into India’s Tiger Territory
India’s Ranthambore National Park is best known for its wild Bengal tigers. Yet this forested reserve also offers rich encounters with a host of other wildlife, people, history and geology. Follow Expedition Leaders Payal Mehta and Harsha Jayaramaiah on a virtual journey through and around Ranthambore as they share their passion for this wild place. Both have spent years leading nature travelers through the park, conducting training programs for local guides, and exploring the region on their own. Beyond the dry scrub forests of Ranthambore’s prime tiger habitat, southeast Rajasthan is also home to sandy deserts and the Aravalli mountain range. Payal and Harsha show us their favorite aspects of the park and its surroundings to illustrate why they believe this wilderness is so special—and you may just find their love for Ranthambore is contagious! Tune in to learn all about what it’s like to go on an Indian tiger safari.
