Fireside Chat: Sapiens—The Ultimate Interaction Between a Species and Its Environment
Throughout the history of the earth, flora and fauna have adapted over millennia to their ever-changing environments—and by doing so, they have interacted with one another as well, evolving when and where necessary in order to survive and thrive. Enter Homo sapiens, one of the first species that, in addition to adapting to a changing environment, began to adapt their environments to benefit themselves. In today’s Fireside Chat, the first of a three-part series, Richard and Matt introduce to us the origin of humans, and how we have changed the planet and shaped it into the world as we know it. They’ll discuss some of the early tribal cultures and global movements of humans, focusing on what has made them so successful as a species from the very beginning.
