With a background in biology, law and tourism, Roberto is the perfect person to introduce travelers to the diversity of Ecuador. A Quito native, he went to high school in the U.S. and he is passionate about sharing his love of his country with our guests. Roberto guided in the Galapagos Islands for two years be-fore focusing on mainland Ecuador and Quito. For 15 years, his dedication to service, charming personality and knowledge of local cultures have endeared him to travelers from around the world. Roberto goes out of his way to make sure guests are introduced to everything that is Ecuador—from trying a cherimoya, to balancing on the Equator, to negotiating at Otavalo or drinking a pilsner. He is one of NHA’s top local guides and definitely the face you want to greet you at the airport.
