Naiman has been guiding Tanzanian safaris since 1994. He has taken courses in wildlife management and graduated from the National Outdoor Leadership School (NOLS). Naiman’s quiet, kind personality and exceptional knowledge make him one of our most likable guides. Equally at home strolling along riverine forests in search of rare birds or navigating his way across the short-grass plains of the Serengeti, Naiman has a sense of what makes a great safari experience and ensures that all of his guests leave Tanzania with new insight into the wonders of his country of birth.

He was very careful about not stressing the animals when we found them, and more than once I saw him stop the jeep to pick up a small piece of trash. His enthusiasm was contagious. His knowledge seemed limitless. There was only one question he didn't know the answer to and it was on the last day. He couldn't identify a tree for us. We laughed when he told us it didn't really count because the tree was not a native one! One of my favorite memories will be the day we found the pangolin. He was so excited since he had never seen one in 18 years of guiding. I would be delighted to travel with Naiman again."

"Naiman made this trip. It was my first and I can understand how a lesser guide could affect the trip. Naiman was so knowledgeable about the animals, trees, birds...anything you asked him. We were watching 2 lions and cubs and Naiman realized there were wildebeest near. He was the only guide. He moved our jeep and asked others to move so the lions could see the prey. They then stalked and almost killed it. He was happy to explain things again for us. He told us their mating, gestation, who was they enemy, who they 'played nice' with. there seemed to be nothing that he did not know. He was accommodating and kind and sweet and he made this trip magical and something I will never forget. I learned so many things from Naiman and I tried to always be in his jeep as I didn't want to miss learning things on our drive."
