A love for Africa and its animals is in Brad Hansen’s blood. Born in South Africa, where he studied agriculture, Brad decided to follow his passion for African wildlife by pursuing a full-time career as a private safari guide. He has undergone extensive training to become certified by the Field Guides Association of Southern Africa, an organization that promotes responsible, conservation-minded tourism, and is also a highly trained tracker, utilizing computer-assisted CyberTracker technology. When Brad moved to Tanzania to become managing director of an Arusha-based tour operator, he led numerous safaris along Tanzania’s Northern Circuit. As he became intimately acquainted with the region, he established his own private guiding company via which he has become one of NHA’s outstanding Expedition Leaders in Africa. In between guiding trips, Brad has been a team member on numerous expeditions throughout Africa run by a leading National Geographic filmmaker.
