Andrea was born and raised in a small village in northern Italy where he spent his early childhood mostly with his grandparents, who were farmers. Surrounded by nature, he developed a boundless passion for wildlife, exploring varied natural landscapes between the Venice Lagoon and the Dolomitic Alps, which became his playgrounds. At 15, with increasing curiosity and a desire to discover the world, Andrea began to travel around Europe, discovering a wider array of natural wonders and captivating cultures. Traveling soon became an addiction for Andrea, who ventured beyond Europe at 18 to begin a years-long odyssey around the world focused on his passions for wildlife, photography and discovery. Realizing then that he had to craft his life around those passions, he embarked on his first nature-focused work experiences at animal rehabilitation centers in the Amazon and the Andes. During this immersion, Andrea gained extensive knowledge about wildlife trafficking and the black market for wild animal products, as well as the rehabilitation and release of animals into the wild. He also worked as a keeper at Australian zoological parks, mainly with marsupials and reptiles, and it was there that he got his first guiding experience while also developing and improving his capacity to speak several languages. Following this extended season during which Andrea visited nearly 50 countries, he returned home to his native Italy to begin a new stage in his life, back to where his love for nature began. After completing the necessary studies and exams, he became a naturalist guide and environmental educator, focusing primarily on Dolomites National Park...though he is always ready to throw on his backpack for new personal and professional adventures!
