Aaron John Nydam2024
A lifelong educator, Aaron earned a master’s degree in science education and is currently completing a doctorate at the University of Wyoming’s School of Teacher Education. There, he instructs education courses, conducts research, and contributes to the development of future teachers. Previously, he served as a faculty member and graduate program director at Teton Science Schools in Grand Teton National Park, where he mentored outdoor educators and taught natural history. Today, Aaron and his family are grateful to call the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem home, a place that continues to inspire his work and love for the natural world.
As an Expedition Leader, Aaron leads week-long wildlife photography and ecology trips in Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks. Combining his extensive ecological knowledge with a deep passion for his work, he takes pride in creating meaningful experiences for his clients. Aaron thrives on forging connections and considers each guiding opportunity a true privilege. He especially enjoys sharing the ecological stories and conservation challenges that lie in the background of the images.
When not guiding, Aaron can often be found riding his bike, releasing native trout, or enjoying outdoor adventures with his family—fondly referred to as moments of “forced fun.”

What Our Guests Say
Aaron was an absolute delight. His level of service and attention was truly outstanding, always offering to go above and beyond to make sure that we had the trip of a lifetime. He is deeply knowledgeable and encouraging of questions. In every story he told and question answered, he built an insightful story of Yellowstone. I really learned a lot.
Very knowledgeable, friendly, kind and approachable, very eager to help and "go the extra mile" to make for a wonderful experience.
