Peru’s climate is generally divided into two seasons—wet and dry—though the weather varies greatly, depending on the geographical region. The dry season in southeastern Peru occurs from May to October. Days are generally very sunny and warm. Nights will be cooler, especially at higher altitudes.
The Amazon Basin has a tropical rainforest or equatorial climate. Because it receives 12 feet of rain per year on average, you can expect days of heavy rain, heat and humidity, even in the low water season (June through November).
Together, Natural Habitat Adventures and World Wildlife Fund have teamed up to arrange nearly 100 nature travel experiences around the planet, while helping to protect the magnificent places we visit and their wild inhabitants.
