Peru holds so much diversity for the nature explorer who is also intrigued by its rich cultural history…and we’ve got three different adventures to entice you with.
Machu Picchu & the Sacred Valley
Among them is our newest offering, Machu Picchu & the Sacred Valley, a 6-day journey to the Inca civilization’s greatest site, along with other ancient ruins, Inca farming terraces and modern-day villages along the Urubamba River.
In the shadow of towering Andes peaks, explore a landscape that was once part of a vast empire spanning thousands of square miles. The Lost City of the Incas is its greatest archaeological vestige, and we make two in-depth guided visits to Machu Picchu with our Expedition Leader, an expert interpreter.
Amazon River
The eastern side of the Peruvian Andes holds an entrancing destination of a different sort: the vast Pacaya Samiria National Reserve, where we find the headwaters of South America’s greatest river, the Amazon. We reach this remote wildlife sanctuary on our Great Amazon River Expedition aboard a private luxury riverboat for just 28 Nat Hab guests.
Traveling with two Expedition Leaders—plus the ship’s guides—delve into the remote upper reaches of the world’s greatest rain forest. We leave the ship each day to explore by open skiff (and sometimes in kayaks or on foot), seeking wildlife in a tropical jungle that harbors some of the greatest biodiversity on Earth.
Amazon River & Machu Picchu
If you want to combine both destinations, you can do that, too. Join us to Discover Amazon & Machu Picchu, a 10-day seamless combination that features the best of each.
