On a recent Natural Habitat Antarctica Expedition, guests were treated to a wildlife encounter of a lifetime. Watch as they are surrounded by an astonishing number of whales and porpoises off the coast of the icy continent, with a backdrop of majestic icebergs and rugged mountains. In a short period of only three hours, fifty whales were spotted in Wilhelmina Bay, Antarctica.
Humpback whales can be seen gliding through the waters all around the Zodiacs. There were even several instances of the giant creatures breaching out of the depths mere feet away from the lucky guests. Expedition Leader Shane Evoy expressed how special the moment turned out to be – “I have been here for nineteen seasons and will treasure this day for the rest of my life.”
