WEBINAR | Photographing Big Cats: India Tiger Photo Expedition
Embark on our tiger-centric photography adventure in India’s renowned Ranthambore National Park. Photo Expedition Leader Surya Ramachandran explains how we structure the trip to ensure you get wall-worthy shots of the country’s iconic Bengal tigers, as well as images of other Indian animals like leopards, sloth bears, striped hyenas and more. He also advises you on what camera equipment and personal gear to bring and explains how our presence in the region helps protect vulnerable tiger populations.
WEBINAR | Back from the Brink: India’s Swamp Deer
The barasingha—or swamp deer—is one of the most endangered mammals in the world. Living exclusively in India and Nepal, these large, regal deer rely almost entirely on marsh grasses for sustenance, which poses a dire challenge as their habitats have shrunk due to human encroachment, climate change and other factors. Expedition Leader Yaju Upadhyaya introduces us to the barasingha, including its biology, behavior and the role it plays in its ecosystem. He also shares how conservation efforts brought this cervid back from the brink of extinction, and what’s being done to protect it today.
WEBINAR | Color Correction 3 Ways: My Photo-editing Workflow
The rich brown of a grizzly bear. The fluorescent green of a peat bog. The reds and golds of fall foliage. Nature knows no bounds when it comes to color, but capturing those hues in photos can be challenging. Expedition leader and pro photographer Charlie Reinertsen shares three approaches to color grading, all geared toward producing a natural, neutral color balance. Charlie will use Lightroom Classic to demonstrate these techniques (using his images of the Northern Peatlands and Yellowstone), but they can be applied in any photo-editing software.
