Traveler Testimonials
"This was my fourth trip to Africa and I can honestly say I learned more and had more fun than ever before. Our Expedition Leader took care of every detail and assured each person had a unique and rewarding trip. His expertise in the field and with photography was awesome! His passion for wildlife was inspiring. The best part of the trip was the small number of people and the intimate experience obtained with few vehicles. And of course, spending a day looking the wild dogs and FINDING them thanks to his tracking skills! I love Natural Habitat trips! I NEVER have to worry about any details or mishaps. I organize and coordinate various events and projects on a daily basis. I don't want to do this on vacation. Nat Hab always makes sure every detail is confirmed and then followed up."

“The baby animals at this time of year were darling. The nightly lightning and thunderstorms were a great addition! I enjoyed the beauty of the African bush and seeing it in the wet season is SO different than in the dry season!”

"I've traveled with many companies throughout my 70 years and I'd have to say that our Expedition Leader was far and away the BEST guide I've ever had! What an amazing young man he is. He's knowledgeable about the ecosystems, animals, plant life, birds, history of the country and people, AND he's kind and fun to be with on a daily basis. Amazing!"

"Natural Habitat is the only company I will go with on a nature trip. I am a wildlife artist, so I go to see the animals, and your guides are the best in the business. This is my second trip with Nat. Hab. And it won't be the last! Our guide was the absolute best, an absolute wealth of knowledge, fantastic personality and made an excellent trip into one beyond compare. I can't say enough good things about him—he was terrific. All the staff were outstanding! Food was excellent and beds were really comfy!"

“This is the first time that I repeated a trip, choosing the same exact itinerary. When I traveled to Botswana in January 2009, I came home saying it was my best trip ever. This was due to the excellence of the destination, accommodations, and guides, as well as traveling with like-minded adventurers. It happened again this time. There is something very special about Botswana and I hope to return again.”

“We had so many occasions where we were close enough to the animals for long enough time (photographing a leopard licking and playing with her cub, sitting quietly in the near-dark listening to a group of elephants drink) to experience a wonderful sense of intimacy. Being in this environment, with the intensity and concentration needed for successful photography was tremendously exhilarating.”K. Futter
“Day by day, our guide continued to impress us with his varied areas of expertise. He was a kind and caring person. We felt like cherished family members instead of clients. As we have experienced on all our trips with Nat Hab, all expectation were exceeded!!!!!”

"I loved most the magic of Botswana and being out in the bush, away from the world for 12 days. I never knew at any second what magic would show up...our days were filled constantly with blessings and adventures. There was a level of professionalism and excellence at every camp and with everyone we met. This was just remarkable. Thank you to each of you there who made this trip possible. I have been telling everyone about the trip and about Natural Habitat Adventures. Keep doing what you are doing. It was an honor and a privilege to be part of this magical adventure."

"It did not meet my expectations. It exceeded my expectations by about 100%. I thought it would be great. I didn't know it would be life changing. Loved getting a complete experience. So much more than just taking pictures of hippos. Came away in love with Africa. Our Expedition Leader just made the trip! I can't imagine a better guide! We learned so much. And in the wild, you are literally trusting the guide with your life. I felt completely safe at all times. He was fun. He knew everything. He help me get great photos. He never failed to position the land rover so everyone could see, everyone could get their photo, and the light direction was flattering for the leopard. Just amazing!"

“The Kalahari was amazing. Herds of oryx and springbok in the hundreds, lots of lions (10 total, including a huge male and four cubs), meerkats, honey badgers and cheetah. All this in green grass and wild flowers! Lions roaring under a full moon and walking two feet away from us—great general game here. Wow... leopard hunting catfish in the swampy grass, two cheetahs swimming across the water, lions roaring near us, two lion cubs and a mother playing with each other near the vehicle, and four wild dogs killed an impala and ate it between the rooms! Loads of elephants and general game.”

“Our guide was really knowledgeable about the wildlife and helpful with photography. He knew I REALLY wanted to see wild dogs and he tracked them and found them. It was incredible. He’s very friendly and open to all guests also.”

“This was the trip of a lifetime and I wish everyone could experience it. I learned so much from our guide; his depth of knowledge on the animals, birds, flowers and plants was mind-boggling! I felt extremely safe under his guidance and I put my trust in him completely and never regretted it. The accommodations were also outstanding. I have stayed in 5-star hotels and did not receive the level of service that I did on this trip. The food was very, very good and nicely prepared and presented with something for everyone.”

"We prepared ourselves for comfort, but the accommodations were much more than we expected. The warmth of the staff members at all of the camps was a much-appreciated bonus. We thought the best thing about our trip was our Expedition leader. He was always courteous to us and to everyone he came in contact with. His knowledge of mammals, birds, and African history was most impressive. He is warm, funny, serious when he needed to be, and the main reason that we all felt that the trip was our best vacation ever. We enjoyed every minute of our trip and will cherish the memories for the rest of our lives. We feel so lucky to have only positive feelings about everything Nat Hab."

“We stayed at Kalahari Plains and got to sleep outside under the stars! We were late to breakfast because an elephant met us on the boardwalk. And I was in the outdoor shower and an elephant walked past. Each camp was in the center of the action! Our local guides were full of information and passion and gladly shared both with us each day! I really enjoyed traditional nights. I liked eating local dishes and always felt there was variety of foods to accommodate various preferences.”
