There is a long history of women living, exploring and working in the Northern Rockies. Their lives as artists, writers, naturalists, rangers and adventurers have shaped Glacier and Waterton Lakes into the renowned national parks they are today.Our passionate Expedition Leaders will share stories about everything from the flora and fauna to Indigenous traditions and women-specific concerns in the backcountry. Traveling with two guides allows us to divide our small group even further, for varied hikes and intimate wildlife encounters.

We also have the privilege of exploring an exceptional tract of land on the Blackfeet Indian Reservation with a local guide from the tribe. Wildlife abounds in the region, including grizzly and black bear, wolverine, deer, elk, moose, mountain goat and bighorn sheep.Across the border, where Alberta’s prairies meet the peaks of the Rockies, we'll explore a sampler of enticing trails, including a stroll through a moose laden marshy forest to tranquil Akimina Lake.

Enjoy special lodgings replete with Old West atmosphere and exceptional proximity to nature, including Many Glacier Hotel on Swiftcurrent Lake. Board a classic open-top Red Bus for a private tour along the Going-to-the-Sun Road and look for osprey and eagles on a scenic float of the Flathead River.
